Pakistan vs Sri Lanka 2nd Test Toss Report:
Sri Lanka win the toss and will have a bat
Tillakaratne Dilshan: “It is a very good wicket, hopefully we can put some runs on the board.” Prasanna Jayawardene is out with a groin injury. Kaushal Silva makes his debut. Dhammika Prasad is also in for Nuwan Pradeep
Misbah-ul-Haq: “Our plan was also to bat first, it takes a bit of turn later on. Last time we played here, we batted the entire fifth day losing only one wicket. These things are usually said after the match (Pakistan’s slow batting in the first Test), there is chance of improvement.” Abdur Rehman is in for, surprise, surprise, Aizaz Cheema, who bowled with every bit of energy he had in him in the first Test. Well, there had better be a very strong reason behind that. Maybe Pakistan think another specialist spinner will take the load off Saeed Ajmal, especially if they believe that the pitch will turn more than the Abu Dhabi one did.
Pakistan vs Sri Lanka 2nd Test 1st Session:
Session 1 in Dubai to Umar Gul and Junaid Khan, they have missed a third fast bowler, they have missed the energy of Aizaz Cheema, but they have bowled ten overs each to send half the Sri Lanka side back. Pakistan could have had Sangakkara as well, but then that would have been almost the perfect session. Forget the retirement of Muralitharan blunting the bowling attack, Sri Lanka have collapsed too often in recent times and the batting should be as big, if not a bigger, worry.
