Pakistan have added 239 runs today, nothing spectacular but they now lead by 42. They could have been further in front but Dilshan got crucial breakthroughs in the second and third sessions. Azhar Ali gritted it out for his maiden Test hundred, that will be a huge relief for him, Misbah is looking solid as always and Pakistan will depend on him to build the lead tomorrow.

Sri Lanka are still chasing this game but they are not out of it. The three fast bowlers did well in the morning session, but they were denied by Azhar and Younis in the second and got tired after tea with the second new ball being taken as soon as it was available.
