Afridi Razzaq Back-Pakistan ODI T20 Squad vs Sri Lanka UAE Series 2011

Shahid Afridi, former Pakistan cricket captain has been called back to the side after he took back his retirement decision. Shahid Afridi and Abdur Razzaq both have been called back to Pakistan ODI/T20 squad against Sri Lanka in UAE series 2011.

Shahid Afridi, a great hard hitter batsmen was retired from all types of international cricket as a protest against the policies of former PCB chairman, Ejaz Butt and he said until Butt’s chairmanship, I won’t participate in any kind of international cricket. Now Ejaz Butt has been retired and Afridi took back his decision.

New PCB Chairman, Zaka Ashraf given him green signal and at last Shahid Afridi has been called for the T20/ODI series vs Sri Lanka at UAE 2011/2012.

Abdur Razzaq was out of cricket for a long time but he has also been called back with the Shahid Afridi and this made Pakistan side more strong as compared to Sri Lanka.

India set target of 121 Runs in only T20 against England

India have got up to 120, it didn’t look like they’ll get there. The massive advantage England have, though, is that they know exactly what they need to make. Not 140-150, but 121. India’s spinners will make it hard for them.

India vs England Only Twenty20 Toss Report 29th October 2011

The ICC released its T20 rankings last week and England, who are World Twenty20 champions, were ranked No. 1. It could be a short reign, if they lose today they’ll slip to No. 3, below Sri Lanka and India. If they win, they’ll stretch their lead over Sri Lanka.

Sourav Ganguly, on NEO sports, says the pitch is the same as the one that was used in the fifth ODI. India spun England dizzy in that game and Ganguly expects more turn today. Win the toss and bat first should be the way to go.

India have won the ODI series 5-0 and have the opportunity to send England home winless. How the tables have turned. The Tests count for a lot, though, and there aren’t any on this tour.

Graeme Swann calls tails. It’s heads. India will … err I don’t know yet. MS Dhoni hasn’t said what he wants to do. Finally he says India will bat.

India are not playing Varun Aaron and Gautam Gambhir from the fifth ODI. Gambhir got married over the weekend so has better uses for his time at the moment. Robin Uthappa gets an international game for the first time since 2008, and Yusuf Pathan, who’s been sidelined from the ODI squad since the tour of West Indie, also gets a chance.

Pakistan’s day, apart from a brief period when they were frustrated by Welegedara and Herath. Gul, Junaid, Ajmal and Rehman getting enough out of the surface to bowl Sri Lanka out for what is an inadequate total. Sri Lanka did not get as much movement with the new ball, and Taufeeq and Hafeez were positive in the nine overs left.

Pakistan vs Sri Lanka 2nd Test Sri Lanka 1st Innings batting Score Card

Saeed Ajmal finally gets his last man in 1st innings of Sri Lanka, after an age of beating the outside edge with doosras, he floats it up and lures Welegedara outside his crease for the big shot, turns away past the outside edge, and Adnan does the rest.

The last two wickets have put on 85 runs but Pakistan would have taken 239 all out when they lost the toss on what looked to be a batting surface. There was help with the new ball though, and Umar Gul and Junaid Khan have set up the game for their batsmen again.
